AU history for SHIELD Academy

History:

Tobias grew up in Abnegation (a part of a cult) with an oppressive, abusive father. His mother died when he was young and his father's abuse only grew worse with her death. When he turned sixteen he transferred to another faction of the cult that focused on identifying one's fears and mastering control over them. They fancied themselves warriors vigilantes bent on protecting the city of Chicago. Tobias had always had problems with the cult's philosophy that in order to achieve balance as a society every person could only be one thing. While in Dauntless, he had a tattoo inked on his back that could have branded him a traitor and gotten him killed. He has all four symbols of the factions on his back. The idea of leaving Chicago, of leaving the cult didn't occur to him because all he's ever known was the cult and the factions. To be factionless, to leave the cult would mean (he believed) becoming destitute, hopeless and homeless. While he might not agree with everything Dauntless propagated, he saw Dauntless as an escape from his father, a way to become someone else, somebody who wasn't afraid. His faction wasn't perfect, but it was the one he best fit into. Unfortunately for him, Dauntless was far from perfect and eventually, he figured out they were crossing a line that he couldn't abide. They were helping Hydra. Tobias (now Four) knew very little about Hydra, but he knew that he didn't want to be a part of it. Risking everything he knew to become something unknown, he did a good deal of snooping, gathered some information and took it to SHIELD, which is how he became part of SHIELD Academy.

He still wants to escape his father, to be someone who isn't afraid, to be someone in control, but now he's trying to make sure he's doing it for the good guys.

Abilities/Powers: Deadly with guns, throwing knives and hand to hand combat. He's good with computers as well.
